We are delighted to announce that our application to participate in the solar powered classroom scheme has been successful. We would like to extend our gratitude to Wakefield Council for considering and selecting our school for this opportunity. The installation of solar panels is expected to take place in 2024.
The children were informed of this exciting news during worship this afternoon. This development is the result of their consistent efforts and dedication to reducing our carbon footprint through our eco-schools link. Their eagerness and commitment have been evident for many years.
Apart from the obvious advantages of addressing climate change and promoting environmental wellbeing, we were particularly interested in this scheme due to the educational benefits it offers to our pupils. The installation process will provide valuable learning opportunities for the children. Furthermore, the long-term educational resources and support provided as part of this scheme will be integrated into our curriculum, enhancing their learning experiences.
