Headteacher's Welcome

As Headteacher, I am proud to welcome you to the Howard School and our website.

Our expectations of all pupils are high and we believe that every child should have the opportunity to be the best that they can be. We recognise that every child is talented and special, which is echoed in our school ethos.

Our staff team is dedicated, hardworking and experienced, and we are committed to providing the best opportunities for all of our children. We are very proud that many of our visitors comment on how our school has a calm and purposeful atmosphere where it is obvious that our children enjoy learning.

We recognise that parents play a vital role in the education of their children and so value the many ways that parents engage with the school and their child’s education. We work closely with families to enable each child to achieve their potential.

Our aim is that by the time our Year 6 children transfer to Secondary school they will be happy, confident, enthusiastic young people who are proud of their achievements and who have developed a desire for life-long learning. This is underpinned by our Christian values which provide a strong foundation for all that we do and achieve.

I hope that you will find our website interesting and informative and that it will give you a flavour of life at the Howard School. If you are a prospective parent please contact us to arrange a visit to see our successful school in action. We look forward to meeting you!

Mr Michael Walker
