Today we spent the morning with the Mayor of Wakefield, Cllr David Jones. It was an honour to welcome him and his colleagues into the Howard School. Mr Mayor led an assembly where he talked about his role and its history. Our Mini Mayor then accompanied our visitors on a tour of the school meeting children in every class. The children were fascinated and asked some wonderful questions.
