We are very pleased to share with you that our fundraising has enabled our partner school to enter the digital world, improving life opportunities for the children, staff and local community. It is wonderful to see the impact that our partnership has had over the last 3 and a 1/2 years and it is only getting stronger!
We have also purchased uniform, shoes and equipment for 6 children at a cost of £28 per child. If anyone is able and wants to contribute to purchasing uniform and equipment for children, please get in touch as we can arrange this.
As you can see in the images, the computer was handed over to the children, teachers and parents of the school along with the uniform during a special celebration day. Our Howard representative also made an appearance - can you spot him?
The computer is now fully operational and when asked what it is currently being used for, Misoji stated that they are using it for:
- YouTube videos during Science, Geography and History.
- Ms. Office to prepare notes with diagrams, graphs, tables and art.
- Ms. Excel to perform complex mathematical calculations faster.
- Viewing the Ackworth Howard website to see what their friends are doing in school.
