Pupils leaders have been very busy recently...

The pupil leader groups for wellbeing and anti-bullying have been extremely busy over the last week, with working collaboratively on our Positive Postbox, Buddy Bench design competition and developing our ‘I wish my teacher knew…’ boxes and forms. The children have shown great enthusiasm for continuing the focus on positive wellbeing and inclusion for all, leading on from the ‘Reach Out’ campaign for anti-bullying week. We are delighted to announce the winners of the Buddy Bench competition as George Y4, Emily Y4, Poppy C Y2 and Ivy Y2. A big thank you to all the children for their fantastic entries - they looked amazing!

What a wonderful worship in school last Monday which was planned and delivered by our Worship Committee in the presence of a number of children from Badsworth School's Worship Committee. The children have been working on the value of dependability, more specifically dependence on the kindness of strangers. They linked this to the traumatic journeys refugee children have been on. The children have been captivated by these stories and the importance of offering sanctuary.

It has been lovely to see the children throughout school choosing the recommended reads in relation to this topic.

A huge well done to all the children involved and others within school who have recorded their reflections of the worship including those from Badsworth CE J&I School pupils:

'The worship made me think about helping others in times of need because everybody should have equal opportunities.'

'The worship made me thoughtful for those in places where wars are ongoing.'
