We were delighted to welcome Richard from Solar for Schools this morning, who worked with children across the school as part of our ongoing sustainability work. The day began with an engaging whole-school worship, where pupils explored themes such as energy use, the greenhouse effect and our responsibility to care for the world. Through practical activities and real-life examples, children developed a deeper understanding of how solar panels work and the impact of renewable energy — including how the energy we generate at school can be shared with the wider community.

Richard also led workshops with Year 2, Year 5 and Year 6, where pupils investigated different forms of energy and considered how we can make more sustainable choices in our daily lives. It was inspiring to see such enthusiasm and curiosity, and these experiences continue to support our aim of developing informed, responsible future citizens.
