Last Tuesday, we gathered as a school family for a special Holy Communion service led by Reverend Karen. It was a meaningful occasion as a number of our children were admitted to communion and helped to lead the service with great confidence.
Those who wished to were invited to share in the bread and wine, remembering the love and sacrifice at the heart of the Christian faith. It was a special moment of reflection, belonging and togetherness for our school community.
We also took this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you and farewell to Reverend Karen as she begins her retirement. We are incredibly grateful for the care, guidance and commitment she has shown to our school over the years. It was a joy to present her with gifts, cards and to sing her favourite hymn, Love Shone Down.
We wish Reverend Karen a happy and well-deserved retirement — she will always be part of the Howard School family.
