Today we were delighted to welcome the Twinkl Phonics filming team, alongside their National Leader, as part of our role as a Twinkl Phonics Champion School. Throughout the morning they visited Nursery, Reception and Year 1 to observe lessons, speak with staff, and capture examples of high-quality early reading practice.
The footage taken will be used nationally to support and train staff in other schools, showcasing effective phonics teaching and the enthusiasm of our pupils as they learn to read.
We are incredibly proud of our children and staff for representing Ackworth Howard so positively.
