On Friday, a group of our children proudly represented the school at Hands Across Wakefield, a special event marking 125 years of a hospital on the Pinderfields site. Alongside around 2,000 participants, they formed a human chain between Pinderfields Hospital and Wakefield Cathedral, symbolising community unity and raising awareness for MY Hospitals Charity.

Back at school, all pupils took part in Hands Around the School, coming together in a circle of solidarity. Instead of our usual Celebration Worship, we reflected on the importance of generosity—giving our time, kindness, and support to others. The children who attended the Wakefield event shared their experiences before the whole school joined hands as a visible sign of support.

We are delighted to share that, thanks to your generosity, we raised £255.50 for MY Hospitals Charity. Your support will help make a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful.

Key Stage 2 pupils will now have the chance to take part in inspiring NHS careers workshops, helping them learn more about the vital role of healthcare in our communities.

This was a fantastic opportunity to live out our values in action, and we are so proud of everyone who took part!
