We are extremely proud of our Year 6 children who are leaving us to join their secondary schools. We hope that the children have enjoyed their time here at Ackworth Howard and are well-prepared for the next stage of their education. We wish them luck and all the best for the future.
The children achieved excellent results in their SATs, but at the Howard School, we believe that there is so much more to learning, to education, to flourishing and enjoying ‘life in all its fullness’ than national tests can ever represent. Thank you to all of the governors, staff, parents, and other members of the school community for remaining committed to giving those things to our children during their school journey and providing them with care, nurture, and inspiration. We do not forget the efforts of everyone – thank you.
On our last day before the summer break, we had a wonderful leavers' service at St. Cuthbert's Church for the children and their families. It was a fantastic way to bring everyone together and celebrate the children's journey through school.
During their last week they enjoyed their leavers trip and performed wonderfully in their summer production!
