Key Stage 1 have been busy exploring today!

This morning, Year 1 went on a walk in the local area looking for physical and human features as part of their Geography fieldwork. They saw lots of familiar features such as the park, Hinits Bakery, a barn, fields and trees. They used Google maps to plan their route around the village and really enjoyed exploring.

Year 2 visited St Cuthbert's church this afternoon as part of their work in R.E. to find out why the church is important to Christians. The Rev. Paul talked to the children about the religious artefacts that they noticed in and around the building. The children asked lots of thoughtful questions about how these are used in the church and were able to suggest why the church is a vital part of the community.
