Year 3 visited the Discovery Centre in Leeds. In the morning they took part in an Ancient Egyptian workshop where they were able to explore the lives of Ancient Egyptian people and handle objects from over 3000 years ago.
In the afternoon, they were taken on a tour of the centre's storage rooms, which house over a million objects from the museums around Leeds. The children's favourite objects were a 100 million year old meteorite and the bones of an extinct dodo!
Throughout the day, staff at the centre were impressed with the children's vast historical knowledge, and fantastic behaviour!
