Year 2 travelled back in time to 1854 with Florence Nightingale as they learnt about the dreadful conditions in the hospital at Scutari last week. The children enjoyed using drama and role play to find out how Florence, who was a courageous advocate, worked hard with her team of nurses to make a difference to the lives of others. They thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and several children are now hoping to follow in Florence’s footsteps and pursue careers in the health service!
