Sport is a real strength in school at the moment.
Our Fencing club is currently running which the children are enjoying experiencing for the first time.
Year 5 have recently visited Wakefield Hockey Club and had the opportunity to play on their world class facilities. Following this, a number of children competed in the Wakefield School Games competition against year 6s in other schools.
Children from Years 5 and 6 took part in a unique Olympic Day at the Institute of Sport in Sheffield, again experiencing excellent facilities and coming away with another sporting trophy for school – Well done!
Children from Years 4 and 6 took part in an Orienteering Competition at St. John the Baptist Catholic School yesterday. The children competed very well and were excellent role models whilst representing our school.
As well as all the usual sporting opportunities continuing such as sports clubs, coaching sessions and table tennis sessions.
What a fantastic couple of weeks!
