Dear Parents/Carers

I am pleased to invite your child on a special visit, as they have been elected as a school councillor. A fantastic opportunity has been arranged for our Key Stage 2 school council members to visit London and take part in a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament at the Palace of Westminster.

Councillors will explore the Palace to learn how UK democracy has evolved over time. Pupils will have the chance to ask questions about its origins, how issues in Parliament are debated, and how the public can make their voices heard. The visit will include a short film and a tour of the Palace.
