I’m sure like me, many of you have just watched the Prime Minister announce new measures to be put in place from tonight as part of a national lockdown. This includes, I’m saddened to say, closing schools except for vulnerable pupils and children of critical workers.
Unfortunately the time scale is not adequate enough for us to be able to put actions in place and prepare for tomorrow. I cannot in good faith shut the school tomorrow and so will remain open for those parents in desperate need to send their children to school whilst I meet with the leadership team to establish this new course of action including provision for online learning. However, I would urge you not to send your child/ren to school tomorrow. Sending your child/ren to school tomorrow will not secure a place in school from Wednesday and during the lockdown period.
