We believe it’s never too early to nurture the passions of future scientists and creatives, which is why we are undertaking a unique project to suit all ages within school, conducting our very own space launch!
A team of experts will come into school in the not too distant future and give an engaging, age appropriate presentation about the science and engineering of Near Space flight, followed by an unforgettable near-space launch from our playground.
The School Council will be introducing a new school mascot who will be involved in the launch and take flight in their first trip representing our school.
In addition to the launch, the event will be documented by a video/photographer and shared on our website and Facebook page.
Due to the weather-dependent nature of high-altitude ballooning, we must be flexible in scheduling the launch to accommodate the project. Permission from the Civil Aviation Authority also needs to be secured.
When the opportunity arises and we are allocated a launch window we will inform you of a specific date.
