Religious Education

As a church school we believe R.E. underpins the whole curriculum by developing a child’s moral and spiritual being. We aim to challenge and support all pupils and offer a variety of approaches and engaging activities in order to motivate and encourage learning.

Our R.E. teaching is governed by the School Trust Deed. As well as the Wakefield scheme, we follow the Leeds Diocesan Board of Education Syllabus for RE which reflects the National Framework for RE.

We teach creatively, using a wide range of approaches and resources.

AT 2: LEARNING FROM RELIGION

•meaning, purpose and truth;
•values and commitments.
